Ebrahim Ahmadisharaf, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, has been named to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) Fellows class of 2025. This prestigious recognition establishes him as a rising leader in water resources engineering.

“I am extremely thrilled and honored that ASCE-EWRI recognized my contributions to the field of water resources and civil engineering,” Ahmadisharaf said. “I am honored to become an EWRI Fellow at this early stage of my career.”

Ahmadisharaf’s selection represents a rare accomplishment for an early-career researcher. According to ASCE, “Only 3.18% of EWRI members are EWRI Fellows, and only four of them fall within your age range (36-40). Thus, it is quite uncommon for someone at your career stage to have achieved this honor.” The fellowship recognizes his extensive contributions to the field, including service on ASCE committees, conference participation, contributions to peer-reviewed journals, community outreach, research publications, successful grant applications and student mentoring. Read more and share on social media.
