Changhwan Lee, Visiting Scholar – Dr. Lee is a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, in conjunction with his role as Associate Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at the Pukyong National University in South Korea. He has over ten years of professional experience as a structural engineer, focusing on high-rise and large-scale building design. During his tenure as a Visiting Scholar at RIDER, his research focuses on “Optimal Wind-Resistant Structural System for Onshore Buildings and Technology to Enhance Wind-Resistance Performance of Existing Buildings.” Dr. Lee's broader research addresses wind-resistant structural systems, seismic performance of reinforced concrete joints, and retrofit strategies to enhance the safety and resilience of existing buildings.
