Mashfiqul Islam

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Florida State University since Fall 2020 with a major in structural engineering. I have earned my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, and Masters of Science in Structural Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh.

Richard Antwi

Richard Antwi is a Civil and Environmental Engineering PhD student at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and a graduate research assistant at the Resilient Infrastructure and Disaster Response (RIDER) Center under Professor Eren Erman Ozguven. He is from Ghana, West Africa and was born in Kumasi. Before beginning his studies at FSU in 2021, he completed his M.Sc. degree in Geoscience at University College London in the U.K. in 2019 and his B.Sc. degree in Geomatic Engineering at KNUST in Ghana in 2017.

Mohammad Javad Shooshtari

I am currently a master of science student at the FSU Civil Engineering department and work as a graduate research assistant at the RIDER. My research focuses on developing AI-based models for promoting sustainable demolition practices. Specifically, I work at the Sustainable Infrastructure Management (SIM) lab with Dr. Juyeong Choi to develop an automated vision-based activity identification model to recognize excavator activities during demolition operations. I am also a member of FSU beach and indoor volleyball clubs.

Mohammadreza Koloushani

Mohammadreza Koloushani began his Ph.D. program in August 2018 at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. His current role is to work as a Ph.D. candidate under Dr. Eren Erman Ozguven's supervision. Koloushanis' current research interests revolve around roadway safety and statistical methods with the aim of identifying contributing factors to the occurrence of roadway accidents and developing innovative, data-driven insights into driver behavior, roadside risks posed by natural disasters, and the effectiveness of safety countermeasures.

Bokang Li

I’m currently a PhD student majoring in transportation engineering at FSU and a graduate assistant in the department of civil and environmental engineering. My research interests include operations research, vessel scheduling, simulation modeling and optimization.

S M Mushfiqul Hoque

I am a 2nd year PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering department at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. I have completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. I am graduated with a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. My research interest deals with "Integrated Urban Systems Resilience" and "Climate Change". For my PhD, I am developing a BMP siting and cost-optimization tool for the stormwater watershed in Florida and using that tool, I will assess the effects of climate change in the urban watershed.

Jieya Yang

I'm from Chengdu, one of southwest capital cities in China, also the home to China's Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. I joined RIDER as a graduate student in 2020, the same year I became a Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering. My research directions focus on transportation accessibility, evacuations, and storm surge modeling. My skills still learning include basic/advanced GIS methods, CUBE software, and the ADCIRC model. Regarding personal hobbies, I'm a certified Chinese calligraphy lover and a badminton trainee.

Seyedreza (Reza) Abazari

I am a Ph.D. student of industrial engineering at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. I obtained my M.Sc. and B.Sc. in industrial engineering from University of Tehran and Semnan University, respectively. My research interests include Data Analysis, Optimization, statistical Learning in different sectors such as transportation and healthcare systems.
