Jieya Yang

I'm from Chengdu, one of southwest capital cities in China, also the home to China's Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. I joined RIDER as a graduate student in 2020, the same year I became a Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering. My research directions focus on transportation accessibility, evacuations, and storm surge modeling. My skills still learning include basic/advanced GIS methods, CUBE software, and the ADCIRC model. Regarding personal hobbies, I'm a certified Chinese calligraphy lover and a badminton trainee. RIDER is the place for great harvest if one pursues his awakening of academic capability and innovative thinking. Hope more outstanding scholars come and join us.
