NSF Excellence in Research: Reconfigurable Supply Chain Network Design and Assembly Planning for Factory-in-a-Box Manufacturing

CMMI-1901109. $316,000, 09/01/2019-08/31/2022

Wang PI, Dulebenets Co-PI

This project develops new theories/algorithms to design emerging factory-in-a-box manufacturing, by which factory modules are carried by vehicles to customers’ locations for on-site production. New insights and engineering guidelines will be obtained to develop reconfigurable assembly systems and supply chain networks.

NSF RAPID: The Impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic on Municipal Solid Waste Management Systems

(CBET- 2030254, $152,165, 05/01/20-04/31/21)

Choi PI, Abichou Co-PI

This project will yield a database of pandemic impacts and responses and associated attributes and variables in MSWMSs that will guide researchers, private sectors, regulators, and planning agencies toward the creation and implementation of resilient waste management operations for pandemics.
